Ahad Azadikhah said: In the past weeks, with the presence of the authorities and ministries of industry, mining and trade, the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad, the Central Bank, and the private sector, they discussed and investigated the import of livestock and agricultural inputs in the Parliament’s Agriculture Commission.
He said: There are many obstacles regarding the import of livestock and agricultural products. One of the main existing problems is allocating government currency to imports, in this context, there are many obstacles due to the lack of currency and sanctions. A member of the executive committee of agriculture said: “Unfortunately, the weakness of the government in the last 6 months has caused the number of orders for livestock inputs, especially soy, to decrease, and the cause and factors must be investigated in this case.”
Azadi also said that the depot where livestock inputs are kept does not have optimal conditions and causes a large part of the livestock inputs imported into the country to spoil, and this is in a situation where we are facing a shortage of livestock and agricultural inputs. Despite the small importers in this context of livestock inputs, most of the imports of livestock inputs are done by special people whose performance has caused many problems in the context of livestock inputs.
