Livestock farmers objected to the approved rate of raw milk

According to itpnews, the chief executive officer of the Iran National Association of Breeders criticized the approved price of raw milk and said: The breeders’ union has expressed its strong objection to the new price of milk to the first vice president.

He said: In the market regulation headquarters meeting, about 15 people make decisions for the production sector, and the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad has only 2 representatives in this meeting. In addition, the representatives of private sector organizations are not invited to attend the meeting, but they can present their words to the country’s officials by attending this meeting.

Soltani continued: The serious price of raw milk was set at 2,900 tomans without consultation with us. Officials considered the reason for this price increase to be the consumer’s inability to buy dairy products. While this will cause irreparable damage to the animal husbandry industry in the long run.

The closure of livestock units soon

And 70% of these inputs are supplied from the black market, which has a large price difference from the approved rate.

He mentioned the price of livestock inputs in the free market and said: Now the price of a kilo of corn in the free market is over 2,500 tomans, the price of barley is over 2,000 tomans and soybean meal is 6,000 tomans.

 

The price of the bran has increased by 40% and reached 1400 tomans. In addition, straw, stubble, and fodder corn have grown by 50 to 100 percent compared to the previous year. 50% of animal feed is fodder, which has grown by 50% compared to the previous year. The remaining 50% of animal feed is made up of concentrates. Referring to the fact that 70% of production costs are related to livestock inputs, he said: We have expressed our strong objection to the new rate of raw milk to the first vice president and we hope that they will look into it and reconsider this rate.
