The educational workshop on hoof trimming in dairy cattle was held from 7/7/2019 until 9/7/2019 with the participation of Hamedan Province Technical and Vocational Training Organization by the knowledge-based company Dama.
Professor Norouzian, one of the prominent professors in Iran, taught the theory part, and Engineer Seyed Javadi, one of the top hoof trimming operators in Iran, taught the practical part.
The topics that were taught in this course include: recognizing the hoof structure in cattle, diagnosing hoof symptoms and lesions, preventing hoof disorders, working with hoof trimming equipment and tools, The ability to bind cattle and how to do hoof trimming in electric hoof trimming box model D-E-220 made by Dama company, taking care after hoof terimming, Prevention of risks and observance of health and safety principles.
40 veterinarians and animal husbandry experts from all over the iran participated in this course and succeeded in receiving a certificate from the Veterinary Organization and Aria Mobatkarin Alvand Animal Company, as well as obtaining an international certificate from the technical and professional organization. The next advanced and more specialized courses are being planned and then held by this company.
