Introduction:
The educational workshop on hoof trimming in dairy cattle was held on 6/9/2021 with the participation of Hamedan Province Technical and Vocational Training Organization by the knowledge-based company Dama. In this one-day course, 35 participants including veterinarians, hoof-trimming experts, and veterinary students were present. Dr. Amir Abbas Mohi Aldini, one of the prominent veterinary professors of Iran, taught this workshop. At the beginning of the meeting, he gave an introduction about the topic of the workshop and then discussed the specialized topics of the principles of hoof trimming for dairy cows. The chapters taught in the course include the recognition of the structure of the hoof, the diagnosis of hoof signs and wastes, the prevention of hoof disorders, the correct method of hoof trimming and cow hoof trimming in the D-H-300 hydraulic hoof trimming box made by Dama Company and after care And the care after trimming.
After the end of the theory part, the practical class of the course began. In the practical part, the participants performed Chinese poison operations under the supervision of the professor.
After the end of the practical part of the course, the latest model of hydraulic hoof trimming box (model D-H-300) made by the knowledge-based company Dama was unveiled. This device can be adjusted both automatically and manually, and it is faster than the previous models
After the end of the course, all the participants were given a certificate of participation in the workshop. Also, the candidates who wanted to receive the international certificate of Chinese poison skills from the Technical and Vocational Training Organization were invited to take the test.
